What is the aim and difference between "Alert after" and "Sensitivity" in 360 Monitoring?

Question

What is the aim and difference between "Alert after" and "Sensitivity" in 360 Monitoring?

Answer

"Alert after" is made to check the website uptime based on the selected time interval (60 sec, 2 min, 5 min, etc.). Depends on the selected option like "Directly" or "2 failures", the alerts is triggered after the first failure check or more failure checks (2,3,4, etc.).

"Sensitivity" is made to regulate the number of checks that 360 Monitoring will do for a website.

In summary it means that above parameters are working together in the following scheme:

  • "Sensitivity" defines the number of checks then "Alert after" looks at the number of checks from "Sensitivity" and does the checks where the alert is triggered based on the number of failure checks that are defined by the "Alert after" parameter.
