Will the Slave DNS Manager extension for Plesk support Microsoft DNS once BIND for Windows is deprecated?

The Slave DNS Manager extension uses a BIND native method (rndc tool) to synchronize zones between servers. It is not possible to adapt the BIND native method for Microsoft DNS, which means the Slave DNS Manager extension will not work without BIND or other rndc tools for Windows.

There is currently a feature suggestion related to this, you may view and vote for it on the following link:

Make it possible to setup a Microsoft DNS Server as Master, and another Microsoft DNS Server one as *****, that replicate/synchronise.

Feature suggestions that have the most votes and active discussions are most likely to be implemented in future versions of Plesk.

As a workaround, it is possible to use other DNS integration extensions for Plesk, such as the following:

• DigitalOcean DNS extension
• Microsoft Azure DNS
• Amazon Route 53
