Plesk warning: "Domain is not resolvable" on domains that resolve to Cloudflare

Symptoms

  • The message Domain is not resolvable appears in Domains > example.com > DNS
  • The affected domain is hosted in Plesk, but resolves to Cloudflare IP addresses

    # dig +trace example.com
    example.com. 300 IN A 104.21.3.112 
    example.com. 300 IN A 172.67.130.165

Cause

Plesk notifies the user when a domain resolves to an IP address different from the one assigned in Plesk. Since this is the case when Cloudflare proxies the domain, it is normal and expected behavior.

Resolution

It's planned to add functionality to Plesk towards in Q3 2026 so it doesn't show this message if Cloudflare is proxying the Plesk server.
The release is planned within the implementing of DNS Checker utility:

For the time being, the message can be safely ignored.
