AWStats traffic significantly differs from Plesk traffic stats in a domain

Symptoms

Plesk HTTP statistics in Domains > example.com > Data Transfer Statistics are significantly lower than the ones shown in AWStats. The difference is too large, even taking into account the differences in calculations.

Cause

At the moment, there is no estimate for the release of a fix for this problem. Follow this article to receive updates about it.

As a workaround, the HTTP Traffics in Plesk can be refreshed manually to obtain the actual current amount, while the AWStats traffic may be ignored if the installation is affected by this issue.

    Can this bug also influence the stats in the other direction?
    We have Plesk show 200GB of traffic where AWStats only has 40GB…
