(Dr. Web) Plesk Premium Antivirus cannot update: failed to download files: Connection timed out

Symptoms

• Dr.Web update fails with the errors like below in sytem log (/var/log/messages for example):

# grep 'update.geo.drweb.com' /var/log/messages
Apr 3 11:11:51 plesk update.pl[457388]: Unable to connect to update.geo.drweb.com: Connection timed out
Apr 3 11:11:51 plesk update.pl[457388]: failed to download http://update.geo.drweb.com/plesk/1100/unix/drweb32.lst (Connection timed out)
Apr 3 11:11:51 plesk update.pl[457388]: can not fetch http://update.geo.drweb.com/plesk/1100/unix/drweb32.lst
Apr 3 11:11:51 plesk update.pl[457388]: failed to download files

• Attempt to manually update Dr.Web also fails:

# /opt/drweb/update.pl
ERROR: Dr.Web Updater: failed to download files !

• Solution from Plesk Premium Antivirus cannot update: failed to download files doesn't fix the issue.

Cause

update.geo.drweb.com is a geo-dependent name, it resolves differently based on the query source address. Some of the Dr.Web servers are located in a data-center that is undergoing migration.

Resolution

Wait until the migration of Dr.Web servers will be finished. As a workaround, you may apply the steps from Plesk Premium Antivirus cannot update: failed to download files article using a different IP from the list. For example, if the 81.176.67.172 was used initially in /etc/hosts, try specifying one of the follwowing IPs:
