Question

  • How to create a website with Sitejet in Plesk?
  • How can I make a website with Sitejet in Plesk?
  • How do I use Sitejet in Plesk in order to design and deploy a website?

Answer

Starting from Plesk Obsidian 18.0.56, the Sitejet Builder extension is enabled by default in Plesk.

This makes it possible to create a new website directly with Sitejet by following these steps:

1. Log into Plesk

2. Go to Domains (or Websites & Domains) > Add Domain

3. Select Sitejet Builder within the visible options for creating a website:

4. Fill in the fields as necessary and press Add Domain

5. This will take you directly within the Sitejet Builder initial template selection screen, where you can start building the website:

It is also possible to enable Sitejet Builder on any existing domain with a few clicks by following these steps:

1. Log into Plesk

2. Go to Domains (or Websites & Domains) > example.com

3. Press Create Site

4. Press on Sitejet Builder

Note: Before pressing on Sitejet Builder, if you have an existing website already build within the directory of this domain, you will see a warning stating that installing an application may result in the preexisting files being overwritten.

5. This will take you directly within the Sitejet Builder initial template selection screen, where you can start building the website.

  • This does not work, it goes immediately to "Sitejet requires an API key".  I have uninstalled an reinstalled SiteJet Builder version 1.1.1-2489 to no avail.
