Windows server has not appeared in 360 Monitoring: unable to get local issuer certificate (_ssl.c:997)

Symptoms

  • Windows server has not appeared in 360 Monitoring after the installation of the agent

  • The logs contain:

    CONFIG_TEXT: ERROR:root:Failed to submit collection: [SSL: CERTIFICATEVERIFYFAILED] certificate verify failed: unable to get local issuer certificate (_ssl.c:997)

Cause

The certificates on the server are outdated.

Resolution

Install all the latest OS updates.

Workaround

  1. Connect to the server via RDP

  2. Download the certificates:
    https://secure.globalsign.net/cacert/Root-R1.crt
    https://secure.globalsign.net/cacert/Root-R3.crt

  3. Install them to the Trusted Root Certificates Authorities

  4. Reinstall the 360 Monitoring agent
