Applicable to:
- Plesk for Linux
- Plesk for Windows
Symptoms
- A migrated site that was created with the Web Presence Builder extension cannot be edited on the new Plesk server. Whenever such an attempt is made, a new site deployment is started instead.
-
The following warning appears after the site was migrated:
PLESK_WARN: Unable to register Web Presence Builder sites of subscription in Web Presence Builder:
- Domain 'example.tld', site ID '2b8455be-33a7-8443-fb97-76065b9eb579
Web Presence Builder component is not installed on the target Plesk server.
The site(s) will work, but you will not be able to edit them with Web Presence Builder.
To resolve the issue, install the component and run migration again for that domain:
1. Open "Tools & Settings".
2. Click on "Updates and Upgrades".
3. Select "Web Presence Builder" component for installation and click "Continue".
4. Run migration again for that subscription.
Cause
The Web Presence Builder component was not installed on the destination Plesk server when the subscription was migrated. Therefore, the extension data was not migrated, and Web Presence Builder doesn't detect the web as built with it.
Resolution
- Log into Plesk on the destination server
-
Install the Web Presence Component by navigating to Tools & Settings > Updates, selecting Add/Remove Components, and selecting install Web Presence Builder
-
Once the component is installed, Re-sync the affected subscription by navigating to Tools & Settings > Migration & Transfer Manager > Press on on the source server IP > Press on [Re-sync] for the desired Subscription
Note: If the component has been correctly installed, the warning will disappear.
- Log into Plesk on the destination server
- Remove the affected Subscription
- Install the Web Presence Builder component for Plesk by navigating to Tools & Settings > Updates, selecting Add/Remove Components, and selecting Install for Web Presence Builder
- Migrate the Subscription once again after installing the component
