Question

Does Plesk Fail2Ban utility support IPv6? How to enable IPv6 banning?

Answer

According to Fail2Ban documentation, IPv6 support is implemented in version 0.10, which is shipped with Plesk Obsidian. No further action is needed for IPv6 banning to be enabled.

    Hi Gabriel Aznarez ,

    The version I can see is:
    # fail2ban-client -V
    1.0.2

    And although fail2ban blocks IPv6, on restore, the IPv6 set as CIDR ranges, manually uploaded via cli as:
    fail2ban-client -vvv set  block_aws banip 2a03:2880::/36

    Are NOT Restored as other IPs and IPv4 CIDR ranges.

    Can you please check the above, regarding fail2ban version and the restore of an IPv6 range on restart of the service?
