Hourly notifications are received from Plesk: Protocol version '1.6.8.0' is deprecated. Current protocol version is '1.6.9.1'.

Symptoms

The following email is received from the Plesk server every hour:

CONFIG_TEXT: Cron <psaadm@www> /opt/psa/admin/bin/php -dauto_prepend_file=sdk.php '/opt/psa/admin/plib/modules/letsencrypt/scripts/keep-secured.php' > /dev/null
ERR [panel] Protocol version '1.6.8.0' is deprecated. Current protocol version is '1.6.9.1'.

Cause

Product issue:

  • #EXTLETSENC-945 "The extension no longer sends repetitive email notifications about usage of the deprecated API protocol."

Workaround

If update is not possible for some reason you may try the following

Until the fix will be available the following workaround can be used.

Disable these notifications by modifying panel.ini configuration file:

  1. Log in to Plesk.

  2. Install the Panel.ini Editor extension from the Extensions menu.

  3. Open Panel.ini Editor under Extensions > My Extensions.

  4. In Panel.ini Editor, switch to the Editor tab.

  5. Edit the panel.ini file by adding the following lines:

    CONFIG_TEXT: ​[api]
    deprecationWarning = off

  6. Save the changes and close the file.
