How to access the Plesk interface in a web browser?

Answer

You can log in to the Plesk web interface using your Plesk account credentials, root or administrator password, or SSH key.

Note: A port to log in to Plesk over HTTPS must be opened in a firewall. By default, the port is 8443.

I Know my Plesk Account Username and Password

To log in to the Plesk web interface using your Plesk account credentials, do the following:

  1. In the browser’s address bar, type in the Plesk login page link in the following format: https://<Server hostname or IP address>:8443.

    Note: You may see an SSL warning, which means that a proper SSL certificate is not installed yet. It is safe to skip the warning this time.

  2. Enter your Plesk account username and password (we will use admin as an example):

  3. Click Log In.

As a result, you will access the Plesk web interface.

I Know Server Root/Administrator Password

Note: If access to Plesk is disabled for the root user, you won’t be able to log in to Plesk this way.

To log in to Plesk using the Linux/Windows server root/administrator account password, do the following:

  1. In the browser’s address bar, type in the Plesk login page link in the following format: https://<Server hostname or IP address>:8443.

    Note: You may see an SSL warning, which means that a proper SSL certificate is not installed yet. It is safe to skip the warning this time.

  2. Enter root or administrator and the root/administrator password you use for connecting to the server:

  3. Click Log In.

As a result, you will access the Plesk web interface.

I Have an SSH Key for my Linux Server Root Account

To access Plesk via SSH, you need to access the Plesk server first, and then generate a one-time login link. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Connect to the Plesk server using a special program called an SSH client. SSH clients may vary depending on the operating system:
    • For Linux and macOS. Use any SSH client that suits you best. You’ll need to set the specific permissions for your SSH key and place the key to the designated folder:
    • For Windows. We recommend that you use PuTTY, which is a free SSH client. If you use PuTTY, you will need to convert your SSH key to the PuTTY-specific format:

  2. After you’ve accessed the Plesk server, generate a one-time login link by running the following command:

    # plesk login

    You’ll see two links in the following formats:

    https://<Server hostname>/login?secret=<session_token>
    https://<Server IP address>/login?secret=<session_token>

  3. Copy and paste one of the generated links into the browser’s address bar.

    • First, use the link in the following format: https://<Server hostname>/login?secret=<session_token>.

    • If the link to the server hostname doesn’t work for any reason, use the link in the following format: https://<Server IP address>/login?secret=<session_token>.

      Note: If the Plesk server is behind a NAT, the server generates only a link to a private IP address. Change the private IP address to the public one and paste it into the browser’s address bar.

    Note: You may see an SSL warning, which means that a proper SSL certificate is not installed yet. It is safe to skip the warning this time.

Note: If you don't have your Plesk credentials or have forgotten them, as a Plesk administrator, contact your server hosting provider, or as any other user, contact your Plesk administrator to help you recover your credentials.

    buenas tardes, estaba realizando unas modificaciones  y de repente pense que habia borrado mi servidor, use un backup y trate de seguir trabajando pero me marcaba errores de conexion, despues de un rato el servidor trabajo sin problemas solo que ahora quiero entrar y no me deja de dice usuario incorrecto, ademas de que no estan llegando los mails, y pues al restablecer no llega el correo de reseteo de contrasaeña.

    no tendo acceso por ssh, lo unico que tenia eran las credenciales de usuario y contraseña.Me podrian ayudar, de antemano agradezco

    To log in to Plesk, open your browser and enter your server’s IP address followed by port 8443 (for example, https://your-server-ip:8443). Enter your username and password provided by your hosting provider. If needed, use the “Forgot Password” option to reset credentials securely.

    olvide mi contrasena no puedo entrata y ingreso my email para que me manda instrucciones pero nunca resivo mensajes onestamente plesk es una desactre

    When I log in the interfaceace keeps telling I used the wrong username and password combination. Which I don't understand knowing for certain I use the right combination.

    Impossible de créer un compte pour pouvoir enfin accéder au livret technique d'utilisateur d'un casque Nolan. C'est vraiment désastreux.
