Domain count per PHP handler in Plesk does not match the number of items in the filtered list

Plesk for Linux kb: technical

Applicable to:

  • Plesk for Linux

Symptoms

In Tools & Settings > PHP Settings, the number in the Domains column for a PHP handler does not match the number of entries in the list that opens when that number is clicked.

Cause

The PHP handler usage count on the PHP Settings page excludes domain aliases. The domain list that opens when the count is clicked does not apply the same filter, so aliases are included there. The two views therefore report different totals for the same handler.

The mismatch requires at least one domain alias to exist on the server.

Resolution

The behavior is a confirmed to be a bug and will be fixed in future releases. For now, use one of the following to obtain the correct figure.

Use the handler usage count

The number shown in the Domains column on Tools & Settings > PHP Settings is correct. Read the count from that page and do not rely on the total reported by the list that opens when the count is clicked.

Filter the domain list

To work with the list of affected domains rather than the count:

  1. Log in to Plesk as an administrator.
  2. Go to Tools & Settings > PHP Settings.
  3. Click the number in the Domains column for the handler you are interested in.
  4. In the domain list that opens, set Hosting Type to Domain Hosting.
