Question

How to enable/disable automatic issuing Let's Encrypt certificates for newly created domains?

Answer

  1. Log into Plesk.

  2. Enable/disable Service Plans > click on desired service plan > Additional Services > Let's Encrypt or SSL It > Keep websites secured with free SSL/TLS Certificates:

    Click Install

    Click Install

  3. Click OK.

Let's Encrypt and SSL It! extensions have a scheduled task named keep-secured.php visible in Tools & Settings > Scheduled Tasks: ​​

This task is running hourly. The certificate for new domains will be issued on the next run of the keep-secured.php task.

If the Admin edition is used the following command helps:

# plesk bin service_plan --add-custom-plan-item 'Admin simple' -custom-plan-item-name "urn:ext:sslit:plan-item-sdk:keep-secured"

If Let's Encrypt is enabled in Additional Services of a service plan, will existing domains be secured?
