Question

How to configure White Label DNS with Amazon Route 53?

Answer

  1. Install the Amazon Route 53 extension from the Extensions catalog.

  2. Open the Amazon Route 53 extension and follow the on-screen instructions to get the key/secret pair from the Amazon portal and enable the provisioning service.

  3. Go to the Reusable Delegation Sets tab and click Create Delegation Set.

  4. Go to the Mass Management tab and synchronize all zones.

  5. Switch A-records of your nameservers to the IP addresses of the corresponding nameservers  from the delegation set.

  6. Use the Linux 'dig' utility to ensure that the settings are applied.
