Unable scan domain by Composer applications: There is no web hosting configured on domain

Symptoms

  • After pressing the Scan button in Subscriptions > example.com > PHP Composer, the process fails with the error:

    CONFIG_TEXT: Could not scan domains for Composer applications: There is no web hosting configured on domain

  • In an attempt to perform the same on the subdomain.example.com the error message is following: 

    CONFIG_TEXT: The domain was scanned. No applications were found.

  • The domain forwarder is created within the example.com subscription.

Cause

This is the composer extension bug with ID #EXTPHPCOMP-114, which was fixed in 1.3.3 version of PHP Composer extension

Resolution

Update PHP Composer extension to the latest version.

Workaround for cases when update of the extension is not possible

As a workaround, create a domain alias with the forwarding functionality using the steps below:

Note: in the example below the name of the domain forwarder is example.net. 

  1. Log into Plesk.
  2. Go Subscriptions > example.com > example.net.
  3. Remove example.net forwarder using the steps that are shown on the screenshot:

  4. Press Add Domain Alias in Subscriptions > example.com.
  5. In the Domain alias name* field specify the name of the required destination website and press the OK button:
