Extension license is not applied immediately after purchase: You don't have a valid license

Symptoms

An extension still shows the option to purchase a license right after purchasing it.

You don't have a valid license. You can buy one at the Plesk store

This paid extension is not licensed. Some or all functions and features of the extension may not be available. Purchase a license to unlock all functions and features of this extension.

Cause

The license has not been retrieved yet. Plesk downloads licenses during its daily task, once a day, so it may not show the license immediately after purchase.

Resolution

Manually retrieve new licenses.

  1. Log into Plesk
  2. Go to Tools & Settings > License Information
  3. Press Retrieve Keys
  4. Hit OK after it completes
