SSL/TLS certificate for mail is not automatically updated by Let's Encrypt in Plesk

Symptoms

  • After the automatic Let's Encrypt renewal process finishes, the certificate for mail.example.com is not updated, and the following message is displayed:

    Let's Encrypt does not support mail certificate auto-renewal. To renew the mail certificate automatically, install the SSL It! extension.

  • SSL It! extension is not installed under Extensions > My Extensions > SSL It! page.

Cause

Standalone version of Let's Encrypt does not support auto-renewal of mail certificates.

Resolution

  1. Log into Plesk.
  2. Install SSL It! extension.

    I came here because I have exactly that problem - my autmatically renewed Lets Encrypt Certificate is not automatically applied to the email service, even though I AM using the SSL It! Extension. 

    Please advise!

    I have exactly the same problem, and I DO have the SSL it extension installed. Please check this issue. I have several servers with PLESK and all of them have the same problem.

    Tengo exactamente ese mismo problema, y SI tengo instalado la extensión SSL it. Por favor verifiquen esta incidencia. Ya que tengo varios servidores con PLESK y todos esta ocurriendo lo mismo.
