Generating CSR certificate under AlmaLinux 9 and AlmaLinux 10 does not save the Country, City and other fields from SSL certificate settings section

Symptoms

  • When issuing a new Certificate Request Signing to generate a SSL certificate externally, the fields Country, City, Organization and other fields are not filled, leaving blank spaces:

  • This issue is verified on AlmaLinux 9 and AlmaLinux 10 only.

Cause

This behavior has been identified as Plesk bug with ID: PPPM-15237. The issue is affecting servers running on AlmaLinux 9 and AlmaLinux 10.

Resolution

This issue will be resolved via hotfix in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.75.

    Hello,
     

    This appears to be a known issue affecting CSR generation on AlmaLinux 9 and AlmaLinux 10. The Country, City, Organization, and other subject fields are not being saved when generating a CSR due to a Plesk bug (PPPM-15237), not because of incorrect user input.  According to Plesk, the issue is scheduled to be fixed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.75 via a hotfix. As a workaround, you may need to generate the CSR manually using OpenSSL until the fix is applied.
