IP address shows error in Plesk: "This IP address is not configured properly"

Symptoms

• An IP address shows an error in Plesk:

  PLESK_INFO: This IP address is not configured properly

• The IP address doesn't exist on the OS network interface

Cause

The IP address can't be configured if it doesn't exist on the server.

Resolution

If the IP address is needed, a system or network administrator should add it the server.

This is a system administrative task and should be carried out on the server owner's end.

If the IP address isn't needed, remove it from Plesk:

1. Log in to Plesk
2. Go to Tools & Settings > IP Addresses
3. Select the IP address and press the Remove button
