Symptoms

Pages in Plesk interface fail to load periodically with the message:

PLESK_INFO: ERROR: Plesk\Exception\Database: DB query failed: SQLSTATE[40001]: Serialization failure: 1213 Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction, query was: DELETE FROM 'sessions' WHERE ('modified' + 'lifetime' < 1746777124) (Mysql.php:79)

Cause

Plesk bug PPPM-14950.

Resolution

Until the bug is fixed, apply this workaround:

  1. Connect to your Plesk server via SSH.

  2. Download the custom fix:

    # wget https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/32150074671255 -O PPS-17748-custom-fix.tgz

  3. Apply the fix (original files will be renamed):

    # tar -xzvf PPS-17748-custom-fix.tgz -C /usr/local/psa --backup
