Cause
Windows OS required the access to the original MSI package to complete an uninstallation, some clients remove old Plesk update packages to save space causing the error above.
Resolution
Usually there will be a different package reported after each loop, you can speed up the process by downloading all package of the same version at once.
-
Connect to the server via RDP
-
copy the GUI of the MSI package reported on the Plesk install log eg. {046AAA09-1702-4511-B51A-4C7BBE67B2A4}
- Navigate to the registry path HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall{MSI_GUID}
-
Open the Item InstallSource and copy its path.
-
Navigate to the folder using the file explorer, check if the folder is empty.
-
Open the web address https://autoinstall-win.plesk.com/ and navigate to the repository of the affected version e.g.: PLESK-WIN_18.0.42_8472\dist-windows\ and download the missing package
-
Move the MSI installer to the path on Step 4.
-
Re-Attempt the update, make sure to close the C:\ProgramData\Plesk\Installer\autoinstaller3.log file so the installer can write if there is another conflicting package.
