Errors while running repair in Plesk: There are incorrect permissions on some items: /var/log/plesk

Symptoms

  • The following error messages are shown in Tools & Settings > Diagnose & Repair:

    CONFIG_TEXT: ERROR
    There are incorrect permissions on some items: /var/log/plesk
    ERROR
    There are incorrect permissions on some items: /opt/psa/PMM/tmp
    ERROR
    There are incorrect permissions on some items: /opt/psa/PMM/rsessions
    ERROR
    There are incorrect permissions on some items: /var/log/plesk/PMM

Cause

Incorrect permissions. It's possible change happened due to a 3rd-party script or program.

Resolution

  1. Connect to the server via SSH

  2. Fix the permission by executing the following command:

    # plesk repair fs -system

    Il comando plesk repair fs -system non ha risolto il problema, restituendo il seguente esito:

    Error messages: 1; Warnings: 0; Errors resolved: 0

    Exit status: 1.
