Symptoms

During MariaDB pre-upgrade check via Plesk interface, the following warning appears:

The following package manager configuration files contain options that may result in an upgrade failure:
/etc/yum.repos.d/filename.repo

To proceed with the upgrade, comment out or remove the following options:
exclude, excludepkgs, includepkgs, installonlypkgs, tsflags.

Cause

Some of the options mentioned in the warning message are set in the specified repository file

Resolution

  1. Connect to the server via SSH
  2. Edit file /etc/yum.repos.d/filename.repo from the warning message
  3. Comment out any lines containing the options exclude, excludepkgs, includepkgs, installonlypkgs, tsflags and save changes
  4. Proceed with MariaDB upgrade
  5. Remove comment from the lines once update is done
