Plesk for Linux
ext: pes
Applicable to:
- Plesk for Linux
Question
- What is the recommended initial setup after installing the Plesk Email Security extension?
- How should I set up the Plesk Email Security extension after installing it?
Answer
1. Go to Plesk > Tools & Settings > Mail > Plesk Email Security > Server Settings
2. Set the Spam score to Medium threshold (a low threshold will detect more spam, but can potentially have false positives)
3. Set the Spam action to Block
4. Press Save
5. Press on the Config Check tab
6. Make sure all domains visible there have the SPF, DKIM, DMARC, RDNS, MX, and DNSBL options appear green instead of red.
Note: If you are using external nameservers for the domain (and subsequently, its primary DNS Zone is external), it is expected for some of them to remain red
