A notification about an additional license update is received daily: Unable to update EXT.01234567.0000: an error occurred while processing your key.

Symptoms

• Notification received with:

  PLESK_ERROR: Unable to update EXT.01234567.0000 an error occurred while processing your key. You can try to retrieve the key manually in Plesk (Tools & Settings > License Information) or let Plesk try to update it in the next 24 hours. If you do not want to receive this notification any more, remove this key from Plesk.

• Running the Update Keys process manually from CLI returns the following:

  # plesk daily -f UpdateKeys
  ERR [panel] KeyUpdate Result code: 2 Unspecified error ERR [panel] KeyUpdate Result desc: License key is not prolongated yet

Cause

The mentioned license was cancelled and will expire soon.

Resolution

Repurchase the license, or if no longer required remove it from Tools & Settings> License Management > Additional Licenses >  EXT.01234567.0000 > Remove to stop the notifications.
