Question

  • How to hide the Web Application Firewall button from the Plesk GUI panel of Customer accounts in Plesk?

Answer

Log into Plesk as the Administrator and execute the following steps:

For all Subscriptions assigned to a Service Plan

1. Go to Service Plans > SERVICE_PLAN_NAME > Permissions tab
2. Uncheck the box for the Hosting Settings Management permission
3. Scroll down and press Update & Sync

This action will synchronize all Subscriptions under this Service Plan (that are not locked for synchronization) with this Service Plan.

For a single Subscription

1. Go to Subscriptions > example.com > Customize > Permissions tab
2. Uncheck the box for the Hosting Settings Management permission
3. Scroll down and press OK

Note: When the Hosting Settings Management permission is unchecked for a Subscription, modifying parameters of the hosting service provided with the Subscription is disabled. This means that changing hosting account features, setting up custom web server settings, and switching on or off support for programming and scripting languages, custom error documents, and SSL/TLS support is expected to not be possible.
