Question
plesk repair utility shows an informational message:
PLESK_INFO: One or more files or directories in the root directory of the domain are either writable by anyone or neither readable nor writable by the owner
What does it mean?
Answer
Files/directories that have excessive permissions are shown as having suspicious permissions. plesk repair utility shows these messages as informational, not errors/warnings. It is maintained in this way to show that it might cause security issues if some malware has such permissions. However, some applications require more permissions, and such configuration might be reasonable for them.
In general, it is up to the owner to configure the permissions. The domain owner can be contacted to assess their necessity and correct if needed.
