Unable to access Plesk secured by Google Authenticator: "The page isn't redirecting properly" or "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS"

Symptoms

  • Plesk license has expired or has been terminated.
  • After a successful login to Plesk, the interface fails to load with one of the following errors:

    PLESK_INFO: The page isn't redirecting properly


    PLESK_INFO: This page isn’t working
    203.0.113.2 redirected you too many times.
    Try clearing your cookies.


    PLESK_INFO: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

  • The URL of the failed page is from the Google Authenticator extension:

    PLESK_INFO: https://203.0.113.2:8443/modules/google-authenticator/index.php/index/auth?return=%2Fcp%2Flicense%2F

Cause

This is a Plesk bug with ID PPPM-14096.

Resolution

  1. Disable Google Authenticator temporary.

  2. Activate Plesk license.

  3. Enable Google Authenticator back.
