Plesk for Linux
kb: technical
Applicable to:
- Plesk for Linux
- Plesk for Windows
Symptoms
SSL/TLS support settings are greyed out for Customers / Resellers / Plesk Administrator (being in Restricted mode): they can't manage the following settings available on the Hosting Settings page in Plesk:
- SSL/TLS Support
- Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS
Cause
Hosting settings management permission is disabled in the respective Service Plan / Subscription settings.
Resolution
For Customers / Resellers
- Log in to Plesk.
- Go to Subscriptions page and find the status of the affected subscription:
-
(green checkmark) - subscription is synchronized with its service plan
-
(blue lock) - subscription is locked, it does not sync its settings with the service plan it is assigned to
-
- Depending on the subscription status:
- if the Subscription is synchronized: go to Service Plans > Service Plan Name > Permissions tab > check Hosting settings management > click Update & Sync.
- if the Subscription is locked: go to Subscriptions > example.com > Customize (in the right panel) > Permissions > check Hosting settings management > click Update & Lock.
For Plesk Administrator in Restricted mode
- Log in to Plesk.
- Go to Tools & Settings > Restricted Mode Settings > Hosting Tools tab.
- Check Hosting settings management.
- Apply the changes.
