  • Is it possible to use a remote database server for Plesk and its system databases?
  • Can I use an external database server for the Plesk database (psa)?

Answer

Note: It is not possible to convert an existing Plesk installation to Plesk with a remote ‘psa’ database. Such a setup can be done only before Plesk has been installed on the server, as the installation process is different

Starting from Plesk 18.0.49, it is possible to use a centralized Plesk database (psa) on an external database server by using the information on the following page of the Plesk Obsidian documentation:
