How to add a database from a remote MySQL/MariaDB server to the local database server?

Answer

Importing the database is a 3-stage process of connecting the server, exporting the database, and importing the export into the local server.

1. Connect the remote server to Plesk
2. Access the remote server from Tools & Settings > Database Servers with the phpMyAdmin button
   
   
   
   
3. Export the desired database using phpMyAdmin
4. Go to Domains > example.com > Databases and create a new empty database
5. Import the exported file into the newly created database
