How to manage customers' databases in Plesk?

Answer

To access and manage customers' databases, use database management tools:

For accessing MySQL databases on Linux & Windows servers

To access MySQL databases on Linux and Windows servers, use phpMyAdmin.

The phpMyAdmin management tool can be installed via Plesk Installer and then accessed at Tools & Settings > Database Servers > Screenshot-2018-1-20_Plesk_Onyx_17_5_3.png.

For accessing MSSQL databases on a Windows servers

To access the MSSQL databases on a Windows server, you need to use a client like HeidiSQL.

  1. Download SQL HeidiSQL.
    Once the download is complete, run the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

  2. Connect to a SQL Server Instance:

    2.1. Open HeidiSQL. You'll be prompted to create a session.

    2.2. Select the Microsoft SQL Server (TCP/IP) network type.

    2.3. Enter the server IP address, for instance, 10.69.43.151\MSSQLSERVER2017.

    2.4. Enter the login and password of a database user.

To access a customer's database, in Plesk go to Domains > example.com > Dashboard > Databases > click on "Web Admin" icon
