A domain shows the Plesk default page when it is disabled

Symptoms

  • A domain shows the web server's default page instead of the website content
  • The website is disabled in Domains > example.com

Cause

When a domain is disabled in Plesk, its hosting services are unavailable. It will display the web server's default page, and mail won't be usable. The content can only be accessed with the Plesk File Manager or via SSH/FTP.

Resolution

Reactivate the domain to bring it back up.

Note: Contact the admin if there are no permissions to reactivate it

  1. Log in to Plesk
  2. Go to Domains > example.com
  3. Hit the Activate button
