  • Plesk for Linux
  • Plesk for Windows

Question

Plesk enables Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS by default. How to change this behavior?

Answer

To increase security, all service plans come with HTTPS redirection enabled by default, but this can be changed with the following steps:

  1. Log into Plesk

  2. Go to Service Plans > Example Plan > Hosting Parameters tab

  3. Uncheck Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS

  4. Press Update & Sync

Note: If the plan has no subscriptions assigned, the button will say OK instead of Update & Sync

All existing and new subscriptions on this service plan will have the option Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS disabled. New domains in locked subscriptions will inherit the setting from the main domain (the one that matches the subscription name).
