Why are MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 not available for installation in Plesk Installer on Plesk Obsidian for Windows 18.0.68 and later?

Answer

In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.68, these components were deprecated because they reached end of life:

!(Plesk for Windows) MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.

You can still install them manually on your Plesk Windows server at your own risk:

  1. Connect to the Plesk server via RDP.
  2. Download the required version from the official MySQL website: https://downloads.mysql.com/archives/c-odbc/
  3. Install it on your Windows server.
  4. Log in to Plesk.
  5. In Plesk, go to Tools & Settings > Server Components and click Refresh.
