Symptoms
- Plesk is running on server with AlmaLinux 9 OS

The execution of the
dnf updatecommand fails with the following:# dnf update
Problem 1: package plesk-php84-gd-8.4.26-0redhat.9.260925.1235.x86_64 from @System requires libavif.so.15()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed
Problem 2: package plesk-php83-gd-8.3.35-0redhat.9.260925.1442.x86_64 from @System requires libavif.so.15()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed
Cause
This is a Plesk bug with the ID #PPPM-15544 which has been already fixed.
Resolution
- Log into into the server via SSH.

Execute the commands below one by one to apply the fix:
# plesk installer update
# dnf update

The fix doesn't work if you already on the latest version. .
Problem 1: cannot install the best update candidate for package plesk-php84-gd-8.4.26-0redhat.9.260925.1235.x86_64

- package plesk-php84-gd-8.4.26-0redhat.9.260929.1545.x86_64 from PLESK_17_PHP84 requires libavif.so.16()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed
- package libavif-1.1.1-3.el9.x86_64 from PLESK_17_PHP81-thirdparty is filtered out by exclude filtering
- package libavif-1.1.1-3.el9.x86_64 from PLESK_17_PHP82-thirdparty is filtered out by exclude filtering
- package libavif-1.1.1-3.el9.x86_64 from PLESK_17_PHP83-thirdparty is filtered out by exclude filtering
- package libavif-1.1.1-3.el9.x86_64 from PLESK_17_PHP84-thirdparty is filtered out by exclude filtering
- package libavif-1.1.1-3.el9.x86_64 from epel is filtered out by exclude filtering
Had a entry in dnf.conf to exclude which stopped, the update from running.
