Migration or backup/restore process fail on Plesk with: No task ID was returned by pmmcli

Symptoms

• Migration or backup/restore processes fail with:

  Failed to restore hosting settings of subscription 'example.com'
  Migration tools tried to perform operation in 3 attempts.
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Attempt #1 failed with the following error:
  Restoration of hosting settings (addon domains, mailboxes, PHP settings, etc) failed:
  No task ID was returned by pmmcli.

Conditions

This is the bug with ID PPPM-14628. Which will be fixed in the future Plesk updates.

Resolution

In the meantime as workaround:

• Switch the affected subscription(s) from a dedicated to a shared IP as instructed here.

  Note: For the Migration cases, the IP type change should be made on the source server and the migration restarted.
