An error occurred while updating domain settings: Unable to create object:

  • The Service Plan tied to the Subscription that is being migrated has the mail service set to Disabled in Plesk > Service Plans > NAME_OF_SERVICE_PLAN > Mail

Cause

This is a warning (not a failure notification) and it is expected to appear if the mail service tied to the Subscription is disabled for the Service Plan on both the source and target (destination) servers involved in the migration process.

Resolution

If you want to avoid this notification, you need to enable the mail for the Service Plan that the domain is using by doing the following:

  1. Log into Plesk (on both the source an target servers)

  2. Determine which Service Plan the domain from the error message is using
  3. Go to Service Plans > NAME_OF_SERVICE_PLAN > Mail > Set the Switch on mail service to Enabled
  4. Restart the Subscription migration process via the Plesk Migrator
