Plesk for Windows
Plesk for Linux
kb: technical
ext: migrator
Applicable to:
- Plesk for Linux
- Plesk for Windows
Symptoms
- Plesk migration via the Plesk Migrator fails with an error that is similar to the following:
PLESK_ERROR: An error occurred during domain creation: Unable to set IP address 203.0.113.2 for hosting: it is already used by another account. - The IP address 203.0.113.2 has been removed from the networking configuration of the server OS
Cause
The address 203.0.113.2 is not assigned to the server within the networking settings of the operating system, however it is still present within the Plesk database entries, due to which it needs to be removed from there as well.
Resolution
Remove the IP address that has been unassigned from the networking devices of your Linux server OS from the Plesk database by doing the following:
1. Log in to Plesk
2. Go to Tools & Settings > IP Addresses and remove the IP address 203.0.113.2 from the error message, so that it will not be used during Plesk migration actions
3. Rerun the Plesk migration actions
