- How to move an email account from SmarterMail to Plesk?
Answer
All mailbox data synchronizes from Plesk to SmarterMail only. Due to this, you must execute the following steps in order to accomplish the mailbox data migration:
Note: For the purposes of this example, jdoe@example.com
is the mailbox in SmarterMail and john_doe@example.com
is the name of the newly created mailbox in Plesk
- Use the Site Import extension to move all mailbox contents to a newly created mailbox that uses a different mailbox username by using the steps in this article
- Check and confirm that the email data is transferred correctly
- Remove the
jdoe@example.com
account from the SmarterMail - Rename the email account that contains the transferred data in Plesk from
john_doe@example.com
tojdoe@example.com
