Pre-migration check fails when migrating from cPanel to Plesk if subscription is re-assigned to another customer: Subscription 'example.com' does not exists on source server(s).

Symptoms

  • Pre-migration check from cPanel fails with the following error when Reassign owner to option is specified:

    CONFIG_TEXT: Subscription 'example.com' does not exist on source server(s).

  • Plesk Web Host edition is used on the server.

Cause

This is a Plesk Migrator bug PMT-4772 which will be fixed in future Plesk updates.

Resolution

As a workaround, reset the reassigning:

  1. Log in to Plesk.

  2. Go to Tools & settings > Migration and Transfer Manager > List of subscriptions.

  3. Click Switch to advanced mode.

  4. Select example.com.
  5. Click Reassign and select Reset all reassigning.

  6. Restart the migration.

  7. When subscription is migrated, change it's owner to required one in Subscriptions > check example.com > click Change Subscriber
