MailEnable webmail shows error on a Plesk for Windows: Unable to load DLL 'MEAISO.DLL': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)"

Symptoms

• Unable to access MailEnable webmail with one of the following error messages:

  CONFIG_TEXT: Unable to load DLL 'MEAISO.DLL': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)"

  CONFIG_TEXT: Unable to find an entry point named 'GeoIPValidate' in DLL 'MEAISO.DLL'.

• Attempting to create a mailbox via Plesk shows the following error:

  CONFIG_TEXT: Error: Unable to update the mail account properties: mailmng failed: Unknown error 0x800A0035 (COM Error 800A0035, Description: File not found: MEAIPO.DLL)
  at Unable to execute console command: '--add-mailname'
  at (vconsoleapp::start line 95)
  at Unable to execute command: '"C:\Program Files (x86)\Plesk\admin\bin\mailmng" --add-mailname "--domain-name=example.com" "--mailname=jdoe" "--password=*"'(vconsoleapp::run line 117)
  (Error code 1)

Cause

MailEnable could not read the MEAISO.DLL, MEAIPO.DLL or other similar DLL files due to invalid file permissions and is therefore unable to start.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, is needed to use the MEinstaller.exe utility that comes included with MailEnable by following these steps:

1. Connect to the Plesk server via RDP.

2. Start meinstaller.exe in MailEnable installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\Bin).

3. Select Common Installation (File Permissions), click Execute and wait for the task to complete.

4. Select the option Web application reconfigure, click Execute. and wait for the task to complete.
