Question

How to bypass the SPF check for IP or IP list on a server with Plesk?

Answer

Add IP address or domain name in the white list using the following method:

  1. Log into Plesk

  2. Go to Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings.

  3. Add ip4:203.0.113.2 or ip6:2001:db8:f61:a1ff:0:0:0:80 or include:example.com to the SPF local rules field. More than one entry should be separated by spaces

    • Or instead of the single IPs, a full include from some provider. For example:

    Microsoft: include:spf.protection.outlook.com
    Google: include:_spf.google.com

Note: If the sender domain doesn't have the SPF TXT record, then the guess rules must be added instead of local rules as local rules can only take effect by appending to the existing SPF policy of the sender domain.

  4. Then click OK .
