Question

How to change the hostname in outbound mail in MailEnable mail server installed with Plesk?

Answer

  1. Connect to your Plesk server via RDP.

  2. Start MailEnable management console at Windows Start > All Programs > MailEnable.

  3. In MailEnable management console, expand Servers > localhost > Services and Connectors > right-click on SMTP to open its Properties.

  4. In the opened window, specify the server hostname in the Default mail domain name field.

  5. Set an email address in the Specify the email address when sending notifications field. This email address must exist in Plesk.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Restart the SMTP service:

    7.1. Right-click on SMTP > click Stop

    7.2. Right-click on SMTP > click Start
