Question
Where are mailboxes located on a Plesk server?
Answer
In Plesk for Linux
In Plesk for Linux, mailboxes are stored in the directory specified in the PLESK_MAILNAMES_D
parameter in the Plesk configuration file /etc/psa/psa.conf
:
# grep PLESK_MAILNAMES_D /etc/psa/psa.conf
PLESK_MAILNAMES_D /var/qmail/mailnames
By default, the path is /var/qmail/mailnames
(for both Postfix and Qmail mail servers).
In Plesk for Windows
Plesk for Windows supports several mail servers and each stores path in its configuration.
The default mail server is MailEnable and mailboxes are located in one of these folders (depends on a Plesk release):
- %plesk_dir%Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Postoffices
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\Postoffices
To find the actual path to mailboxes of any mail server, start Plesk Reconfigurator from Windows Start > Plesk and click Change Plesk Mail Data Location:
