Question
How to create hourly backups in Plesk?
Answer
-
Connect to the server via SSH
-
Go to
-
Tools & Settings > Backup Manager > Schedule to set up server-wide backups
-
Domains > example.com > Backup & Restore > Schedule to set up subscription backups
-
Note: By default, only Plesk administrators can set up hourly backup tasks. To allow resellers and customers create them, go to Tools & Settings > Backup Manager > Settings and tick the option Allow customer and reseller accounts to schedule hourly backups.
Note: Hourly backups feature was introduced in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.55. If your Plesk Obsidian version is 18.0.55 or later, but the feature is absent, enable it in Plesk:
-
Install Panel.ini Editor from the Extensions menu.
-
Open Panel.ini Editor extension and switch to the Editor tab.
-
Add the configuration below:
CONFIG_TEXT: [pmm]
allowHourlyTask = on -
Click Save.
Warning: If you have manually created tasks for hourly backups previously, it is recommended to remove them and switch to the embedded UI function.
