How to enable Nginx caching in Plesk?
Answer
Note: Before enabling caching, it is strongly recommended to switch PHP files processing to PHP-FPM application served by nginx type in Domains > example.com > PHP settings. Existing .htaccess rules for Apache should be converted to nginx syntax: How to keep .htaccess rules after switching PHP handler from Apache to nginx in Plesk?
To enable nginx Byte-Cache and nginx FastCGI caching, follow these steps:
Enable nginx caching for a single domain
- Log into Plesk
- Go to Domains > example.com > Hosting & DNS > Apache & nginx
- Tick the Enable nginx caching option and press the OK button to apply the changes:
Enable nginx caching for a Service Plan
Note: Following the steps below will enable caching for all newly created Subscriptions that are using this Service Plan
- Log into Plesk
- Go to Service Plans > Hosting Plans tab
- Click on the name of the existing plan to edit it.
- Go to the Web Server > nginx settings and enable checkbox next to Enable nginx caching:
- Click Update & Sync
