Changing PHP parameter in Plesk is not applied

Symptoms

  • PHP parameter is changed under Domains > example.com > PHP Settings;

  • While checking domain's phpinfo page at  Domains > example.com > PHP Settings > View the phpinfo() page, the local value of PHP parameter is another one;
  • In Domains > example.com > File Manager there are such files as .htaccess, or php.ini, or .user.ini  that contain some defined PHP settings.

Cause

PHP setting is overridden by the file.

Resolution

  1. Log into Plesk.

  2. Navigate to Domains > example.com > File Manager;

  3. Remove\comment out the overriding line from .htaccess, or php.ini, or .user.ini files.

  4. Open Domains > example.com > PHP Settings and click OK to renew the configuration.
