A website hosted in Plesk is not accessible over HTTPS: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

Symptoms

• A website does not load over HTTPS with one of the following errors in a web-browser:

  CONFIG_TEXT: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

  CONFIG_TEXT: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

• Over HTTP the website works fine.

Cause

SSL/TLS support is disabled at Domain > example.com > Hosting & DNS > Hosting settings.

Resolution

1. Log in to Plesk.
2. Go to Domain > Dashboard tab > example.com > Hosting & DNS > Hosting settings.

3. Enable SSL/TLS support.

   
   
    

4. Apply the changes.
