Plesk for Linux
kb: technical
ext: litespeed
Applicable to:
- Plesk for Linux
Symptoms
-
LiteSpeed is used as a web server in Plesk:
- PHP changes are not reflected on the PHP info page (Plesk > Domains > example.com > PHP Settings > View the phpinfo()) after:
- modifying PHP settings on domain level at Domains > example.com > PHP Settings
- enabling/disabling a PHP extension or modifying global PHP configuration in Plesk at Tools & Settings > PHP Settings > php_handler_version
Cause
LiteSpeed Web Server 5.3 and newer uses Detached Mode, in which the PHP processes continue running independently, even when LiteSpeed Web Server restarts.
Resolution
The new changes will take effect when the lsphp process times out and forks again.
To apply the new changes immediately, restart the detached PHP processes:
- Log in to Plesk.
-
Go to LiteSpeed Extension.
-
Click Restart Detached PHP Processes.
